Wine and Wombats

We drove through the Yarra Valley through wine country today for a stopover at the Healesville Sanctuary where we visited some of Australia's indigenous animals in their semi-natural habitats. Koalas, Kangaroos, wombats, Tasmanian devils, etc. Highlight of the day: We were supposed to see a bird of prey exhibition until the bird flew away and didn'tcome back. The handler did a great job of playing down his absolute panic in front of the crowd

On the way back into town we stopped by Rochford Winery and had lunch and a glass of pinot gris. Twas Delicious.
