Today is national coming out day, and while I don't normally treat it like any opther day in my life, it does hold special meaning for myself and other gay/lesbian people. I've been very lucky to have the support of my friends and family over the last 10 years that many GLBT people don't get from theirs. I always think of this song by Cyndi Lauper. She wrote it for her own sister who at the time was struggling with coming out as a lesbian.

The song was originally written by Billy Steinberg about his own mother with alternate first verse.
Are you Rosie buddies? LOL Good song even though I know associate it with the big blob.
I remember "True Colors". It was a big part of a national advertising campaign for Kodak a few years ago.
